Our Marine Environment Group is engaged in the disaster prevention operations in the ports with industrial complexes such as Tokyo Bay, Osaka-Kobe, Ise Bay and Seto Inland Sea. Personnel are in place to respond to emergencies such as oil spills, and carry out safety patrols for ships loading and discharging potentially dangerous substances. They also are equipped to engage in such dangerous operations as fire-fighting if needed. Our Marine Environment Group is engaged in ship escort operations in the Irago Suido Traffic Route located at the entrance of Ise Bay. With the recent upsizing of vessels, we provide needed escort services to more than 3,800 vessels a year. An accident-free record for 78,000 vessels has brought well-earned recognition to our group.
